Echte Bauern singen besser

Washed-up rockstar Alexander Gromberg and shy farmer Sven (Sebastian Bezzel playing a double role) are by far and wide the most convincing double act in a look-alike competition. But looks aside, the two men have nothing in common. The egocentric Gromberg has his best years behind him and his tendency to alcoholism is damaging his chance of a big comeback. Trusty soul Sven, on the other hand, toils away at the farm he took over from his parents, his youthful dreams of starting a band long buried – until Franzi (Susanne Bormann) discovers him. Gromberg’s manager desperately needs a sober version of her client in order to secure the record company boss’ (Roman Knizka) consent for Gromberg’s comeback tour. The styling team completes the transformation and Sven’s raw enthusiasm inspires confidence in even the most sceptical… but the journey from farmer to rock star is a long one and Gromberg is not willing to be set aside.
